The dial is behind a glass door, encased in a bronze ring. It is complete, including the pendulum and the winding key. It runs and strikes as you would expect from a clock.
The Westminster striking mechanism consists of 5 gongs with 5 hammers that sound a beautiful full strike every 15 minutes.
