Publisher’s paperback binding of the magazine “Le Rire Rouge” including the first of the collection of the 50 first issues over a period from November 1914 to October 1915. Very rarely available for sale!
Le Rire Rouge is a version of the Temps de Guerre the famous caricature magazine "Le Rire". It was published until 1919 and then became "Le Rire" again.
This magazine presents a rare iconographic wealth of information on the war as seen from the French side. Numerous caricatures illustrating "The Poilus" of the trenches as well as the English and Russian allies. The Germans were not spared by the sharp pens of the most famous cartoonists of the time (Poulbot, Willette, Léandre, Flores, Métivet, Faivre...). A true testimony of the propaganda of the time seen from the French side!
The overall condition is fair, particularly with regard to the binding, which is fragile. All of the pages are still attached to the binding, but some of them are hanging on by a thread. The publisher’s binding is showing significant signs of wear.
Nevertheless, it is still complete and pleasant to read. No missing or loose pages. The inside is in good condition.

Il y en a 100 en l'espèce. Au regard des prix assez bas des ventes finales, il ne m'est pas possible de faire se travail de comptage. Dans la description, à aucun moment il est précisé le mot "Complet". J'indique numéro compris entre le N°111 et le n°215. Généralement les reliures sont pour la plupart complète. Je suis désolé qu'il en manque Néanmoins , pour le prix, je crois que le livre reste une très bonne affaire...
