The Campo del Cielo meteorite came to Earth approximately 4,500 years ago, falling in the current Argentina the largest metallic meteorites shower known to mankind. It was used by the pre-Columbian people to manufacture metal utensils and it caused true astonishment to the Spanish conquistadors upon their arrival in America.
In this lot we present an authentic final cut of metal meteorite Campo del Cielo with very aesthetic shape and full of silicates, an authentic rarity in this type of meteorites. The rest retains its exterior in the shape of dark fusion crust, representing the material cast in its way through the Earth's atmosphere.
