A rare opportunity to buy a Zenith Pilot gold watch (Montre d’Aéronef Type 20), a 75 piece limited edition. It features in the famous book about the manufacture Zenith written by Jöel Duval (E. Albin Michel).
A black dial with cathedral hands is encased in a rose gold case. Arabic superluminova numerals indicate the hours and minutes. The hours and minutes are conveyed with strong, luminous hands. At 3 o'clock, a power reserve indicator displays the stored energy within the spring barrel, expressed in hours and at 9 o'clock, a subsidiary seconds display is located.
A transparent case back makes it possible to admire the famous 5011K movement (19 jewels). This hand wound caliber originally features in Zenith pocket watches and marine Chronometer. In 1967 caliber 5011K established a world record for accuracy for a mechanical watch. It was described as the most accurate movement ever measured by the Neuchatel (Switzerland) observatory.
The strap is made of calf skin with rose gold buckle.
