Glass inside is a piece off it but according to
me this only has to do with the heat drain. So nothing
with the projection of the pictures. (last photo)

We call those first projectors 'magic lanterns' because initially the spectators did not understand where those colourful images on the wall came from and therefore attributed it to magical powers.
