Ancient Roman Iron Caltrop (lat. Calcitrapa) a ''Foot Trap''
Tribullus or Murex Ferreus as the Roman called this very simple but effective and specific weapon which were used mainly to stop the Cavalry and the Chariots of the enemy.
The Tribullus played a crucial role for the victory against the Partians in 53 BC. near to Carrhae under the command of the famous Marcus Licinius Crassus.
Perfectly preserved.
