Ancient Katanga Cross which was used as trade currency during centuries in the former Belgian Congo.
This one dates back to the late 19th and early 20th century.
This piece is in solid copper, it measures +/- 24 x 23 x 0,9 cm and weighs +/- 1000 grams.
This currency is in good condition, it still has its wonderful reddish patina of origin, which is already exceptional by itself.
Exceptional because of its large dimensions.
Very nice item of collection with also a very decorative design.
This is an ancient cross and not a recent item.
