Beautiful oil painting by the Dutch artist Harry Maas (1906-1982). 2 women on the street. Signed bottom right with date.

Harry (Henri Frans Hubert) Maas was born in Nederweert on July 23, 1906 and started his career at the Eindhoven sketch club. He also joins the Zuid-Nederlandsche Onafpendenen, founded by Johannes Nicolaas Jr. in 1934. In 1940 he became a member of the Bredasche Kunstkring with other people from Eindhoven. After the Second World War he exhibited as a member of Kunstkring De Kempen.
Harry Maas painted cityscapes, portraits, trains, flower still lifes, landscapes. But the feminine half-dressed or spicy nude runs like a thread through his work.
