De Porceleyne Fles (Royal Delft ) red crackle 5-sided bowl / ashtray. Floral – geometric decor. The backside is painted too. Hand painted and clearly marked.

Red crackle was made from about 1947 until 1968. The effect of the crackle was caused by rubbing in the surface with a black to brown dye after the last firing session, that got through to the hairline fractures and thus made it look older.
