Hand-made especially for the American business unit of the (former) Dutch trading house Van der Moolen due to its listing on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) in 2001.
This figurine shows the fight between the bull and the bear, symbolising the eternal struggle between the Bulls (optimists, rising markets) and the bears (pessimists, shrinking markets).
Van der Moolen was once one of the biggest traders on the NYSE, but went bankrupt in 2009.
