The SR500 was marketed between 1978 and 1983
The European 78-79-models were equipped with spoked wheels, front disc and rear drum brake
The SR500 uses a slightly modified version of a large single cylinder of the XT500 / TT500 and has an electronic ignition and a pressure relief handle mounted on the steering-wheel to start the kick easier
The SR500 won the Moto of the Year-price of Motorrad twice, Motorrad is the german motor magazine
Nowadays the SR500 is very popular again because it is very suitable for it , you can make a Cafe Racer out of it

- chain and sprockets 90%
- fork seals ok
- ball bearings ok
- in good running order. has been used regularly.
- base cylinder gasket is sweating oil
