Design in the style of the start-up period with turned pilasters and designed console and decorative balls. Pendulum with initials "R=A"; made of painted enamel. Clockwork numbered and marked with logo. With its original key. Dimensions: 95x36x17cm (HxWxD), dial 15cm diameter.

The bird has been damaged but restored. “Gesetl-Geshutzt” is stamped on the back. The clockwork is running. The Vienna Regulators cover a unique era of clock making which spanned the years from about 1790 to 1910. This late version covers roughly the period from about 1860 to 1910.
R=A on a Clock Pendulum means : R (Slow Down) = A (Speed Up) the Clock.
These pendulums have a nut to screw up or down. Bringing the Pendulum down by unscrewing the nut slows down the clock. Screwing it up will speed up the clock. This is what you call “Regulating” the clock to keep accurate time. Many factors can contribute to your clocks speed: pendulum length, weight, temperature changes and its hanging position.
The position in photo no.11 is the position where it’s running fine.
