Description Two bar stools in cast iron with real tractor seats dating from early 20th century, The seats are in cast iron with 'San Francisco' inscriptions. BAKER & HAMILTON.SACRAMENTO. and 'Champion'. Numbered 731 (under the seat). They are real antiques with a little story: Baker & Hamilton Four of those seats were displayed on the famous Christies auction website (go check them out) in London, they were estimated at £1,000-1500 and were sold for the small sum of £3,000 (€3,589.73), conversion date 23 March 2012 Baker & Hamilton/History of the company now named Stiletto: 1849 - Baker & Hamilton began selling tools for gold miners in a store inside a tent in the gold mining camp 'Mormon Island' (now under water in the Folsom dam near Sacramento) 1851 - Baker & Hamilton opened the first permanent site at 2nd and J St., in what is now known as 'Old Town' Sacramento. 1867 - Baker & Hamilton opened the first San Francisco office and warehouse at 'Portsmouth Square'. 1887 - Baker & Hamilton expanded the Sacramento store and warehouse to a full city block 1882 - Baker & Hamilton opened a new 'state of the art' main office and warehouse in San Francisco at the corner of Pine and Bush streets. 1906 - Brand new building Baker & Hamilton was completely destroyed during the big San Francisco earthquake. 1930 - Baker & Hamilton moved their new offices and warehouses to the 1905 building at 7th and Townsend in SF 1974 - Baker & Hamilton permanently closed their doors and their stock was sold to California Hardware. 1995 - Renegade Marteau Co.'s owner, Mark Martinez, introduced the first production framing hammer with a magnetic nail slot in the head. 1997 - Martinez acquired the trademark and production rights of Stiletto 1998 - Martinez invented the first world championships of solid titanium framing hammer 1999 - First 'Stiletto' branded titanium hammer is made and sold in Atwater Ca. 2004 - Stilleto Tools, Inc. bought 10,000 square feet in central Winton, California 2007 - Stiletto is purchased by the Milwaukee Electric Tools in Brookfield WI That is why we say that, since 1849, Stiletto Tools has been the 'Standard of the West', by providing the tools that built houses and firms in California in the early days, and manufactured the agricultural implements that fed those pioneers. 360° rotating seat with ball bearing Total height: 80 cm Seat height 71 cm Width: 47 cm Material: cast iron Weight: 20 kg Flawless condition

Baker & Hamilton/History of the company now named Stiletto:
