Renault - 4CV - 1956
The Renault 4CV is the car of a new era.. Developed in great secrecy during the German occupation, it was presented at the Salon de Paris in October 1946. This is the most affordable car ever offered by Renault. Influenced by the Volkwagen KDF the French engineers opted for mechanics installed in the back but. unlike the Beetle, the 4CV offered four doors. Its price allowed it great success: it would be the best-selling French car until 1955 and the first to surpass one million copies. Today, more than 70 years after being marketed, lovely copies are no longer very frequent.
The model presented here is from 1956. Its current owner acquired it from a professional to revive the automotive memories of his childhood. Being a collector, he is letting it go to take on new projects.
